Welcome

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming annual Hepatology Update, organized by the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease (TCLD) at UHN.

Scheduled for October 1 and 2 in Toronto, this year's in-person event spans two days. Day 1 will highlight the Sheila Sherlock Research Day, in addition to our Allied Health and Nurses' Update. On Day 2, we will host the Jenny Heathcote Hepatology Update.

This eagerly awaited gathering provides the latest insights into best practices and ongoing research projects in the liver disease field. As a leading institution in hepatology education, we believe these presentations will significantly influence future clinical applications.

The Jenny Heathcote Hepatology Update aims to foster collaboration, enhance patient care, and encourage evidence-based practice among healthcare professionals involved in liver disease management. The event welcomes participation from hepatologists, gastroenterologists, general practitioners, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, and industry representatives.

We are proud to host a diverse group of experts, including UHN faculty and distinguished professionals from Canada and beyond. Continuing our tradition, we have invited a distinguished Sheila Sherlock speaker to join our esteemed list of hepatologists contributing to our clinical and research events.

A warm welcome is extended to all colleagues able to join us at the 2026 Hepatology Update, an in-person educational event promising enlightenment and engagement.

We express our gratitude for your ongoing support and enthusiasm.
